To encourage school children and to create awareness program on local foods specially
                    fruits,  millets  and  other  traditional  foods  drawing  competitions,  Essay  writing
                    competition were held in different schools in 3 mandals of Nandyal district of Andhra
                    Pradesh.

                    5 short videos were made for circulation among WhatsApp groups on following topics;
                       1.  Millets  2. Forest  fruits 3.  Uncultivated greens  4. Local grasses  as  fodder  5.
                           Micronutrient rich local foods

                    WORLD FOOD DAY REPORT
                    World Food Day is Celebrating   annually on October 16 every year. The day is celebrated
                    with the aim of highlighting the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy
                    diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food.


                    Theme.
                    This year's theme is Leave NO ONE behind. “In the face of a looming global food crisis, we
                    need to harness the power of solidarity and collective momentum to build a better future
                    where everyone has regular access to enough nutritious food.

                    World food Day was organized by undertaking various programs to create interest in
                    Local  foods  for  better  nutrition  in  10  locations  with  school  children,  teachers  and
                    Villagers.  Total 583 people participated in this Program.

                    BIRDS have organized World Food Day on 16  October in BIRDS High school premises
