8. Social Protection & Social Welfare Schemes in
view of COVID ‐19 and Natural Calamities –
CADME ‐ UNICEF
1. Introduction:
As per the Project of CADME‐UNICEF. BIRDS also the partner of this Implementation of
Project. We are thankful to the Convener Sri Gurudath Prasad Garu and UNICEF for
involving BIRDS in the Network of NGOs program.
BIRDS allotted the KURNOOL District as Improving the Access of families in most
Vulnerable in 16 Village of Chagalamarri, Allagadda, and Rudravaram Mandal of Kurnool
District. As per the Activity wise, we did the Social Protection and Social Welfare Scheme
in view of COVID ‐19 and Nature Calamities. And covering the families of 4,500 Approx in
this Programme.
2. Brief report on Activities Implemented:
We meet the Village Official, Elders, and GP Members, SHG leaders and Volunteers
NGO partners on social protection schemes for support of this Project purpose. 16
Identified villages and forming the 5 Members community service providers Committee
for implementation of Activity and Area Covered: Allagadda, Chagalamarri, Rudravaram
Mandals, and Kurnool District. We conducted Training program for GP Members, SHG
Members and Village Volunteers on Social Protection and Social Welfare Schemes in view
of Covid‐19 Selected village volunteers in 16 villages All the participants are volunteers
in the village for identified who are not availing government protection and welfare
schemes in their respective villages. After identification Volunteers should do application
process through Sachivalayam Volunteers and 5 members community service providers
follow‐up meeting in each (16) villages and should be taken part up to application process
finalization.

government and central government. Welfare and Protection Schemes:
Navarathnalu Scheme i.e., Fees reimbursement, Ammavadi, Pensions, YSR Aasara, YSR
Cheyutha, House for BPL, YSR Raithu Bharosa. Arogya sri.JalayagnamYSR Vahanamithra
EBC Nestham Ration Cards. SC, ST, BC and Minority Scholarships for children education.
COVID‐19 relief fund Rs.10Lakhs from State Governments for Orphan ChildrenCovid‐19
relief Rs.500 monthly from Women and Child welfare DepartmentCovir‐19 relief
