BIRDS Executive Director Mr. Paul Raja Rao given introduction about the Child Rights in
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Status and Actions, UNICEF and Alliance for Child rights
program. UNICEF is a working for children in international, Child health, nutrition,
protection and Education. BIRDS working for children in Chagalamarri and Allagadda
mandals and Mother society working in Nandyal, Gospadu and Panyam Mandals
collaboration with UNICEF –MAHITHA Andhra Pradesh Alliance for child rights. BIRDS
conducted awareness program to the children and their parents on Child rights and child
protection. Mr. Paul Raja rao explained COVID impact is continuing for long time, children
are facing Malnutrition, illness, Mental and Physical stress. We can see School are closed,
Migrations increased, food scarcity and loosing primary services, Child rights are violated
in Pandemic situation not only in AP and Telangana but also in the World. With the
support of UNICEF NGOS like BIRDS and Mother Society conducting following activities
to protect child rights.
1. Conduct a study to know how child rights schemes are protecting and
implementing through panchayats and it’s impacts in 90 panchayats.
