2.  Core Programmes


                    Core Program 2022‐23 (DORIS Scarph Funds through UPC):

                    BIRDS organization, the core support is the main and very important program, to run the
                    organization  &  to  raise  funds  for  the  other  programs  and  issues  identified  in  the
                    communities.  The  core  program  is  the  main  base  to  conduct  training's, studies and
                    research to create projects and to give basic support to the programs.

                    2.1  Highlights of Core Program:

                    The  following  activities  are  the  highlights  of  the  core  program under Mother  DORIS
                    Scharf Families support for 2022.

                       1.  Repairs Done at Muthyalapadu training center in 2022
                             Water storage tanks for both Boarding homes and guest rooms are replaced

                             Expansion of rooms for boys and girls at boarding home
                             Painting work done for all the buildings in the Training center
                             Staff quarters and toilets are repaired

                       2.  Following are Newly purchased in 2022
                             One school bus is purchased for non‐resident students to come to school

                             New power generator is purchased for entire campus at school, college, hostels
                              and training center.
                             Close circuit cameras are fixed in all the classrooms (school & College) and at
                              dining  hall,  accommodations,  Staff  quarters,  Doris  Hospital,  and  at  parking
                              areas as security of the children and staff.
                             Bunk beds for hostel children, dining tables, and class benches are purchased
                              for the children.
                             Learning studios (laboratories) established for vocational college students on
                              agriculture and Multipurpose health workers at college.

                       3.  COVID relief done:
                             15000 dry ration kits distributed to the daily wage workers in 50 villages who
                              are severely affected with pre and post Covid issues.
                             Sanitary  pads,  Mask and Hand  sanitizers more  than 20000  number  were
                              distributed to the children.

                       4.  Flood relief done:
                             2290 families (13740 people) effected with Flood have been supported with
                              cooked food, dry ration, cloths and cooking utensils, medicines and temporary
